It is very fine balance to keep the discipline and have fun playing soccer. Every player/child is different. Winning drive some kids to play soccer. Playing with friends are reason for others. But they all like to have fun. 70% of kids stop playing soccer at U14. Interestingly this is not because they are busier with High school but this is because they are not having fun.

At Santa Clara we have a formula where we have > 90% retention between seasons. This is extremely high compared to other soccer clubs and teams. There is a positive environment where players and coaches have a great connection.

We treat our coaches as a family and provide all support and feedback to be successful. We also have monthly coaches/team managers' meetings to discuss concerns and feedback from the team and vice versa.
